Meet Your San Diego Personal Chef

The owner-operator, Chef Joan, has worked in food industry for over two decades. In her youth, Joan worked alongside her mom, dad, and siblings at their Italian Restaurant. She then opened and operated her own Italian Restaurant for several years, running the business with the help of her young children. After several years of successfully running her own restaurant Joan decided to bring her skills to a corporate level, and became the manager for Abbott Laboratories Foodservice, managing 3 cafes for breakfast and lunch.

Throughout her life, Joan watched her mom take care of her grandmother as she aged. When the time came, she then took care of her own parents, finding love and passion in cooking for them. While her dad suffered terribly from dementia, his only joy was the food that Joan made for him. Experiencing the happiness and joy that cooking brought her parents, Joan decided to continue that work for others, eventually leading her to Chefs For Senior.

Joan has been married to her husband Bob for 25 years. They have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Family is everything to them. When Joan is not in the kitchen, she is teaching her grandchildren the art of cooking with love.
